On the evening of 25 July in the village of Ushkovychi in Lviv district, a road traffic collision occurred in which a minor motorcycle passenger was injured.
At around 22:15, a Kovi motorcycle ridden by a 16-year-old resident of Lviv district collided with a Range Rover driven by a 29-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
As a result of the collision, the 16-year-old motorcycle passenger, a resident of Lviv district, sustained bodily injuries. He was taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No. 2 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
