In the village of Yasenyvtsi in Zolochiv district a fire broke out in a residential building, as a result of which a man born in 1965 was injured. The fire service was alerted to the blaze on 26 June.
According to the emergency services, household items were burning in the house over an area of about 10 sq. m. Before the firefighters arrived, the man tried to extinguish the fire himself.
As a result, he suffered smoke inhalation and burns to his upper airways. In a condition of moderate severity, he was taken to hospital.
The fire was brought under control at 12:48 and fully extinguished at 13:02. Thanks to the actions of firefighters from Zolochiv, the blaze did not destroy the residential building or the outbuilding.
