In the Lviv district, an elderly cyclist was injured as a result of a car collision – the police are investigating the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident occurred on November 23 at 5:05 p.m. in the village of Zhovtansi, Lviv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mercedes car, a 56-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Chervonograd district, hit a cyclist, a 73-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the elderly man was injured and taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of Lviv Oblast opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
