In a field near the village of Zibolky in Lviv district, a 76 mm artillery round dating back to the Second World War was discovered during earthworks. The dangerous item was reported to the Rescue Service.
The pyrotechnic unit of the Emergency Rescue Special-Purpose Detachment of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region removed the munition and destroyed it in the prescribed manner. A community rescue officer was also working at the scene, ensuring the necessary safety measures.
Rescuers emphasise that munitions from past wars continue to pose a serious threat to people's lives and health. If a suspicious item is found, it is forbidden to touch it, move it, attempt to dismantle it or neutralise it yourself. You must move away to a safe distance and report it by calling 101 or 102.
