As previously established by the law enforcement officers, in the village of Krasne, a local resident crossed the railway track outside the pedestrian crossing, got under the wheels and died at the scene from his injuries.
The event happened today, July 6, around midnight in the Krasne village of Zolochiv district. Law enforcement officers identified the deceased as a 52-year-old local resident. It was also established that the man crossed the railway track outside the pedestrian crossing, got under the wheels of a passenger train and died at the scene from his injuries.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 276 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway, water or air transport) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to ten years.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
