Law enforcement officers are establishing all circumstances surrounding the tragic death of a young child in the city of Sheptytskyi.
A report about the body of a boy found without signs of life on Naberezhna Street was received by police today, May 8, at around 7:00 p.m.
After receiving the information, officers immediately arrived at the scene, including:
- an investigative operational group;
- patrol police response crews;
- juvenile prevention officers;
- employees of other units of the Sheptytskyi District Police Department.
During the inspection, police found an injury on the child’s body that may have caused his death. The victim’s identity has already been established. He was an 11-year-old resident of the district center.
Investigators from the territorial police unit, under the procedural supervision of the Sheptytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, have opened criminal proceedings under paragraph 2, part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional murder.
The progress of the investigation is under the personal control of the head of police in the Lviv region.
