In Sokal, around 10:00 AM today, a donation box intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was stolen near the monument to Taras Shevchenko. The box, owned by volunteer Ihor Bedryk, had been collecting funds from local residents and visitors over the past three days.
The theft has sparked outrage among the community, as the funds were meant to support Ukrainian defenders. Local residents are shocked that someone would dare to steal donations intended for such an important cause.
The community remains hopeful that the perpetrator will come to their senses and return the stolen money. As the saying goes, “What’s done in secret will be revealed,” and such actions are unlikely to go unpunished — whether by law or conscience.
