
On 4 July at around 17:15 in the village of Solonka in Lviv district a road traffic collision occurred, as a result of which a 5-year-old girl was injured.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement officers, a 25-year-old SCANIA lorry driver, a resident of the Sheptytskyi district, ran over a 5-year-old local girl. The child sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators of Police Department No. 3 of Lviv District Police Directorate No. 2 have launched criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road traffic safety rules).
The sanction under this article provides for a penalty of restriction of liberty for up to three years with disqualification from driving vehicles for the same period. Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
