
Conflict in Sosnivka Hospital: Check on Police Actions Initiated
Today, April 22, during the monitoring of social networks, the police of the Lviv region discovered a publication reporting about a conflict between two men and a police officer in a medical facility.
Incident Details
During the inspection, it was established that on April 21 at 12:40 p.m., a call was received on the emergency line 102 from the head of the Sosnivka City Hospital. The call reported that citizens, who are temporarily residing in the hospital, while being intoxicated, threatened the staff, behaved inappropriately, and violated the rules of staying in the medical institution.
Officers from the Sheptytskyi district police department arrived at the scene. In one of the wards, the officers found two men aged 31 and 65 years, who have been temporarily residing in the hospital for several years. Both showed signs of alcohol intoxication. Additionally, according to the medical staff, the mentioned citizens systematically abuse alcohol and have repeatedly violated the rules of the hospital stay.
Reaction to the Incident
Upon the legal demand of the hospital’s head to leave the premises, as a room in a dormitory was allocated to them by the city authorities for further residence, the men refused, and when attempts were made to evict them, they resisted the law enforcement officers. After being taken to their new place of residence in the dormitory, one of the men fell, sustaining injuries.
An examination of the police actions has been appointed, upon the results of which a legal assessment will be provided.
