
A fire occurred on the roof of a two-storey brick building in Staryi Sambir. The report was received by the Rescue Service “101” on 2nd April at 00:43. The fire broke out on L. Halytskoho Street.
By the time the rescuers arrived, the building’s roof was already ablaze. Three people evacuated the smoke-filled building, and rescuers led them to fresh air. The fire was localised at 00:52 and fully extinguished by 01:53.
Fortunately, no one was injured. To extinguish the fire, 27 rescuers and 6 units of special equipment from the State Emergency Service were deployed, along with 1 worker and 1 unit of special equipment from the local fire brigade of the village of Stara Sil. The causes and circumstances of the fire are currently being investigated.
