Why can a fire extinguisher in a car become an invaluable assistant? In one case in Staryi Sambir, the car owner used this device before the arrival of rescuers, which allowed the vehicle to be saved. The incident occurred on 15 March around 14:55 on Vitovsky Street, when the engine compartment of an “Audi Q7” caught fire. This was reported by the Lviv DSNS.
Thanks to the owner’s swift actions, who attempted to contain the flames with a fire extinguisher, firefighters had more time to arrive and take measures. The rescuers arrived at 15:21, localised the hazardous situation and by 15:43 had completely extinguished the blaze, safeguarding the vehicle from total destruction. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
