In Stebnyk, the police swiftly apprehended a suspect in the robbery of a shop visitor. On 8th April, around 15:00, a 55-year-old resident of the town reported that an unknown individual had openly taken her bag containing her purse and money.
To solve the crime, operatives from the criminal police, investigators, and officers from other services of the Drohobych District Police Department were involved. The police promptly identified the suspect’s location and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The detainee turned out to be an 18-year-old resident of the Kyiv region. Evidence was seized from him. Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, informed him of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 186 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
