As the employees of police department No. 3 of the Stryi district police department established, the detainee caused head injuries to the victim. He faces up to eight years in prison for what he has committed.
The event took place on May 14 around 18:00 in one of the houses in the village of Nizhnya Rozhanka, Stryi district. During the conflict, a 42-year-old resident of the city of Skole inflicted several blows on the head of his acquaintance, a 62-year-old local resident, causing him serious injuries. Later, the victim was hospitalized.
The police arrested the perpetrator in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the perpetrator.
