
On January 15, at 4:20 PM, a road accident occurred on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Plav’ya, located in the Stryi district.
Preliminary reports indicate a collision between a Renault truck driven by a 63-year-old resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region and a Skoda car operated by a 41-year-old woman from Vinnytsia.
As a result of the accident, the female driver sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
Investigators from Police Unit No. 3 of the Stryi District Police Department have launched a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules). The maximum penalty under this article includes up to three years of restricted freedom and a three-year driving ban.
Law enforcement officers are working to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
