Two trucks collided in the Lviv region, there are injured people – the police are establishing the circumstances
The traffic accident happened today, July 12, around 12:00 p.m. on the highway “Kyiv-Chop” near the village of Brodky, Stryi district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, a Renault Magnum truck, driven by a 52-year-old resident of the Zakarpattia region, and a DAF truck, driven by a 47-year-old resident of the Stryi district, collided. As a result of the collision, the Renault driver and his 56-year-old female passenger, also a resident of Transcarpathia, were injured.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident. The issue of opening criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being resolved. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
