In the city of Stryi, rescuers helped gain access to a flat where an elderly woman who needed assistance was located. A report that the woman was not opening the door and was not answering calls came in on 22 October at 14:41.
Rescuers from the 8th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Stryi responded to the call. Using hand tools, they opened the door of the dwelling and provided access to the flat for police officers and medics.
Inside the flat, they found a woman born in 1937 lying on the floor. After being examined by medical staff, she was taken to hospital.
Rescuers remind everyone: if acquaintances or neighbours do not get in touch for a long time, it is worth paying attention to this, as a timely phone call or visit can help ensure that the necessary assistance is provided in time.
