In the town of Truskavets on Mazepy Street on the evening of 18 August, a fire broke out in a flat in a five-storey residential building. Rescuers received a report of the fire at 23:04.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene, there was heavy smoke in the flat on the second floor. To ensure people’s safety, they led two people out of the smoke-filled premises into the fresh air.
The fire started in one of the rooms, where household items were burning over an area of about 1 sq.m. The fire was contained at 23:19 and fully extinguished at 23:23. As a result of the incident, no one was injured and no medical assistance was required.
Rescuers remind citizens of the need to follow fire safety rules: do not leave electrical appliances unattended, be careful when using open flames and do not overload the electrical network. Such simple rules help to protect life, health and property.
