During the night of 2 September in Truskavets, the roof of a three-storey building with an attic on Ivana Mazepy Street caught fire. The report of the blaze reached rescuers at 02:46.
When the fire and rescue units arrived at the scene, thick smoke was already billowing from under the roof, and the flames were rapidly spreading through the wooden roof structures. Owing to the heavy smoke, the rescuers worked in respiratory protection apparatus.
The fire was brought under control at 03:53, and the blaze was completely extinguished at 04:34. According to the rescuers, no one was injured as a result of the incident.
Specialists are establishing the causes of the fire and the circumstances of the blaze.
