In the city of Truskavets, Lviv region, a police officer discovered that a high school student had brought a pneumatic weapon to school.
The pistol was found by Police Lieutenant Viktoriia Bohun, an inspector of the Educational Security Service of the Drohobych District Police Department. She noticed the gun in the possession of a 10th-grade student, who reportedly brought it to impress his classmates.
According to the teenager, he took the pneumatic pistol from his father’s safe and brought it to school to show off. The student was questioned in the presence of his mother.
As a result, law enforcement officers issued an administrative protocol against the minor’s mother under Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses for failure to fulfill parental duties.
The pistol was confiscated, and the case materials have been submitted to court.
