As the employees of the police department No. 2 of the Drohobytsky district police department established, the detainee, being in a drunken state, caused a closed cranial brain injury and rib fractures to the woman. He faces up to eight years in prison for what he has committed.
On April 29, the operative line 102 received a message from the doctors of one of the hospitals in Drohobytsi about a 49-year-old resident of the city of Truskavets, who was taken to the intensive care unit with physical injuries, in particular, a severe combined trauma, a closed craniocerebral injury and three rib fractures.
Employees of police department No. 2 of the Drohobytsky district police department were involved in establishing the circumstances of the criminal offense and the identity of the perpetrator who beat the victim. The law enforcement officers conducted a complex of operative and search measures and found out that the woman was injured by her 47-year-old roommate, also a resident of Truskavets. At night, a conflict arose between co-residents in a wooded area, during which a man, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, brutally beat a woman.
On the morning of April 30, the police detained the perpetrator in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the perpetrator.
