In the village of Modrychi in the Drohobych district late in the evening a dog fell into a ditch and could not get out on its own. A report reached rescuers from Truskavets at 23:31.
At the scene, emergency workers found the animal in the ditch. The dog did not bark and remained calm, watching the rescuers at work.
Using a hook ladder and a fire hose, the rescue service staff carefully pulled the dog from the ditch and handed it over to staff at the animal shelter “Mokryi Nis”, where it will be looked after.
The story of the dog’s rescue is a reminder of how important it is not to remain indifferent when someone needs help, even if it is an animal.
