In the Sambir District, a fire occurred in the village of Velika Sushytsia. On 18 May at 03:33, firefighters received a report of a blaze in a wooden residential house.
The fire engulfed the roof of the building covering an area of 70 square metres. Local residents were the first to notice the fire, rescuing a woman from the burning house and calling the firefighters. There was a threat of the fire spreading to neighbouring structures. However, thanks to the swift actions of the emergency services, the destruction of adjacent properties was averted.
The fire was extinguished by 06:36, owing to the efforts of seven firefighters and two units of equipment.
