In the village of Velyki Hlibovychi in Lviv district, a major fire broke out at a private property. The Rescue Service received the call on 6 July at 17:21.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, the grounds of the private household were already burning intensely. Due to the cluttered yard and strong wind, the fire spread rapidly: a wooden outbuilding was ablaze and completely engulfed in flames, along with a metal garage, a Volkswagen car, as well as planks and firewood.
There was a risk that the fire could spread to the residential house and another outbuilding. Heavy smoke made the firefighters’ work more difficult, but they managed to contain the blaze at 18:51 and fully extinguish it at 19:32.
No one was injured in the incident. The specialists are establishing the causes and circumstances of the fire.
