In the village of Verkhnia Yablunka in the Sambir district, a fatal road traffic accident involving a quad bike occurred on 22 July, in which a 27-year-old driver was killed.
According to preliminary police information, the driver of a Jianshe quad bike lost control, left the carriageway and went into a roadside ditch, where the vehicle overturned.
The man driving the quad bike died at the scene from his injuries.
Investigators from Police Station No. 2 of the Sambir District Police Department have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules or the operation of transport by persons driving vehicles).
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the Sambir District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region reported.
