In the village of Verkhnye Synyovydne in the Stryi district, a fire broke out in a single-storey wooden residential house. The report was received by the Rescue Service “101” on 2 April at 20:29. Upon the arrival of the firefighters, thick black smoke was billowing from the windows of the house.
Eyewitnesses and neighbours reported that the owner of the house might be inside. During the search, the firefighters found a man on the floor in one of the rooms, whom they carried out into the fresh air and handed over to the medics.
The fire was localised at 21:03 and completely extinguished by 21:14, preventing the spread of the flames to three nearby buildings. Four rescuers and one unit of special equipment from the State Emergency Service were involved in extinguishing the fire.
