In Vynnyky, four children have disappeared since the beginning of the year, but all have been returned to their parents.
In total, six reports of missing persons have been recorded in Vynnyky, four of which involved children. One of the children left home after a quarrel with parents and was found in the field between Vynnyky and Lysynychi. The other three got lost in the settlement due to parental negligence. All search operations were successful.
Community officers often receive calls from frightened parents asking to find a lost child. They advise parents to give children a parent’s phone number and teach them to know their address and parents’ names.
In addition to children, elderly people also go missing. There have been cases in Vynnyky where pensioners got lost in the forest, but they were found. However, one elderly man, who went missing in May, is still not found.
In the Lviv community, the program ‘Community Police Officer’ is being implemented, which gives officers more authority to ensure law and order.
