In the village of Zhvyrka in the Sheptytskyi district, a residential house caught fire during the night, but firefighters managed to prevent its destruction. The incident was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Region.
The fire broke out on 6 June at 23:25 in a single-storey wooden and brick residential house. The flames engulfed the roof, the ceiling structures and household belongings.
Before the firefighters arrived, neighbours tried to extinguish the blaze on their own but, realising that their efforts were not enough, they called the emergency services in time.
The fire was contained at 00:33 and fully extinguished at 01:25. Thanks to the actions of the emergency workers, the house was not destroyed by the fire, and no one was injured.
Seven firefighters and two units of specialised equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The State Emergency Service reminds the public that calling firefighters must not be delayed, as fire spreads very quickly and every minute counts. In case of danger, you should call 101.
