In Zolochiv, police uncovered a dealer suspected of drug trafficking. According to MVS.LVIV, a 33-year-old resident of one of the district’s villages was selling the drug cannabis using methods such as “stash” and “hand-to-hand”. He faces a penalty of up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
The suspect was uncovered by criminal police operatives, investigators, and other officers of the Zolochiv District Police Department under the procedural guidance of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office. Law enforcement documented the suspect’s illegal activities.
During a sanctioned search at his residence, packaged cannabis in paper wraps and other physical evidence were found and seized. All seized items have been sent for expert examination.
The suspect has been notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1, Part 2 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty he faces is up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
