The police of the Lviv region urges drivers of all vehicles, including two-wheelers, to strictly follow the requirements of the Traffic Rules, be attentive, do not exceed the speed limit, maneuver carefully and constantly monitor the road conditions. The traffic accident happened on August 7 at around 6:30 a.m. on the highway between the villages of Sasiv and Ruda-Koltivska of Zolochiv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, a 22-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district failed to control the Yamaha motorcycle – he drove off the road into a forest lane, where he collided with a tree. As a result of the incident, the man died at the scene.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
