A traffic accident occurred in the Lviv district, resulting in injuries to a minor driver and a passenger of a motorcycle.
The accident happened on June 26 around 22:20 in the village of Nadychi in the Lviv district. According to preliminary data, the driver of a VAZ 2121 vehicle, a 73-year-old resident of one of the district’s villages, collided with a Geon Vertex 300 motorcycle driven by a 17-year-old local.
As a result of the accident, the minor motorcycle driver and his passenger, an 18-year-old resident of the Lviv district, sustained bodily injuries and were hospitalized. The car driver left the scene, but the police located him.
Investigators from Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under this article is up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years. Law enforcement officers continue to establish the circumstances of the incident.
