A batch of dairy products and sweets, which were tried to be illegally imported into Ukraine, were discovered by border guards together with customs officials at the Ukrainian-Polish border.
Two minibuses were stopped for inspection at the checkpoint “Krakowec” yesterday evening. A 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman arrived at the same time and chose the “green corridor” traffic lane to pass the control.
However, during the inspection of the vehicles, the inspection team found a large quantity of concealed goods. In particular, the Renault driver hid the products in a specially arranged hiding place between the passenger and cargo compartments. Her accomplice, the driver of the Opel, placed food products under the passenger seat of the minibus.
In total, the man and woman tried to hide more than 1,500 units of dairy products and more than 600 packs of candies from the control.
A protocol was drawn up based on these facts. The goods were seized by customs officers, the amount of its assessment will be determined additionally. Due to her “intelligence”, the woman also got rid of the minibus.
