The traffic accident occurred on August 25 at 10:40 p.m. near the village of Bendyuga, Chervonograd district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, a 22-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, driving a Yamaha motorcycle, ran over a cyclist – a 29-year-old resident of a neighboring village. As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist died of his injuries on the way to the hospital, despite the efforts of the doctors, and the cyclist received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
