The traffic accident occurred on October 6, around 1:00 p.m., in a forest area near the village of Korchyn, Chervonograd district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “ZIL” car, a 63-year-old resident of the city of Belz, Chervonograd district, hit a pedestrian, a 38-year-old resident of the same city.
As a result of the accident, the man received bodily injuries and was taken to the intensive care unit.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Chervonohrad district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
