Lviv district: as a result of a collision between a train and a car, rescuers unblocked 2 injured and 2 dead people
On October 23, at 00:22, the Rescue Service “101” received a message that in the village Obroshyne, Lviv district, on the Obroshyne-Glynn line, a high-speed passenger train collided with a VMW car.
Rescuers from the 25th state fire-rescue unit of the city of Pustomyty and the 4th state fire-rescue unit of the city of Lviv went to the place of the call. When the rescuers arrived at the scene, it turned out that there were people trapped in the car.
With the help of special equipment, rescuers freed the injured driver and passenger and handed them over to medics. Medics hospitalized the victims in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the 8th City Clinical Hospital of Lviv. The rescuers also unblocked the two dead people from the car with the help of a hydraulic tool.
6 personnel and 2 units of special equipment were involved in liquidation of the consequences of the road accident.
Law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident.
