The fire has been extinguished, and law enforcement officers are working at the scene to establish the circumstances and resolve the issue of legal classification.
The incident occurred today, 26 August, at 12.10 a.m. in the village of Rakovets, Lviv district. As police have preliminarily established, the driver of the BMW, a 32-year-old Lviv resident, felt unwell while driving and lost control of the vehicle.
The uncontrolled BMW drove into the territory of a petrol station, where it collided with a petrol pump and two other vehicles – a Volkswagen Transporter minibus and a Nisan car.
As a result of the collision, the petrol pump caught fire and the fire spread to the Nisan, which fortunately had no occupants. However, the car was heavily damaged by the fire.
The drivers of the BMW and Volkswagen Transporter and a 24-year-old resident of Lviv were taken to hospital, where doctors are clarifying their diagnoses.
After the fire was extinguished, investigators and officers of other police units in Lviv region are working at the scene. Law enforcers are establishing the circumstances of the incident, and the issue of legal classification is being resolved.
