The traffic accident occurred on March 13, around 07:00, on the Lviv-Kovel highway near the village of Savchyn, Chervonograd district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Toyota Avensis car, a 36-year-old man from Lviv, lost control, drove off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and his passenger, a 44-year-old man from Lviv, were injured and taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, the investigators of police department No. 2 of the Chervonograd district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
