A traffic accident occurred in the Lviv district, resulting in a man being injured.
The incident took place on September 18 around 21:40 in the village of Shchyrets, Lviv district. According to law enforcement officers, the driver of a Volkswagen Polo, a 35-year-old resident of Truskavets, “hit a 65-year-old resident of Lviv district who was lying on the roadway”. As a result, the man sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Following the incident, investigators from Police Department No. 3 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2 initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period. Law enforcement officers are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
