The crime came to light thanks to a doctor who conducted a routine check-up of the child. The mother approached law enforcement after hearing from a psychologist about the abuse of her daughter. According to the child, it started when she was seven years old.

Prosecutors from the Sheptytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office have submitted an indictment to the court under Part 4 of Article 152 and Part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – ‘rape and corruption of minors.’ The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the police of the Sheptytskyi district.
