Under the procedural guidance of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 34-year-old man on the facts of illegal acquisition, storage for the purpose of sale and sale of a psychotropic substance (Part 1, 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused illegally purchased a prohibited substance, namely amphetamine, and brought it to one of the villages of the Stryi district, where he sold it to local residents.
The man accepted orders by phone, and sold psychotropic drugs at a personal meeting at his place of residence, directly from hand to hand.
During searches of the person’s place of residence, packages with a psychotropic substance, packaging and weighing equipment were discovered and seized.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Stryi district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
