Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General, along with law enforcement officers, have uncovered two major drug networks operating within the country.
The first included 12 members of a criminal organization involved in the production and sale of drugs through Telegram and a ‘bookmark’ system. Participants – organizers, packagers, logisticians – operated like a ‘business.’ During raids, ready-made drugs and laboratory equipment were seized.
The second group consisted of 29 individuals, including five minors. They distributed a new dangerous drug — ‘kratom,’ which is 10 times stronger than morphine. Using the internet and delivery services, they sold up to 10 tons of this substance amounting to over 60 million hryvnias. Their main target was the youth.
