On September 6, the leadership of the Lviv Regional Veterans Organization of the NGO “Association of Veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine” held a meeting with the family of Vasyl Veklyuk, a veteran of the internal affairs bodies who died in the war with the Russian occupiers.
Together with the widow Myroslava, they held a prayer for the repose of the deceased at the Hero’s burial place, and the Association of Veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine awarded the “Patriot of Ukraine” award (posthumously) to Vasyl Veklyuk. Hero’s grandson, first-grader Darius Novikov, received the deceased grandfather’s award.
Also, the Head of the Lviv Regional Veterans Organization, Stepan Shiyan, and the leadership of the Drohobytsk District Police Department visited Igor Kuzniak, who was seriously injured in the war with the Russian occupiers, and who was the former senior investigative department of the Drohobytsk City Police Department. The fighter was awarded the “Patriot of Ukraine” award and thanks for his participation in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
On behalf of the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, police general of the third rank Oleksandr Shlyakhovskyi, the veteran of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received an award for courage and heroism shown in the fight against the occupiers.
