Out of this number, 41 traffic accidents involved victims, resulting in two deaths and 66 injuries of varying severity.
In addition, the police identified 4,628 drivers who were driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and drew up administrative reports against them.
All the consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol are stipulated by the applicable law, in particular, Article 130 (Driving vehicles or vessels by persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants or under the influence of drugs that reduce their attention and reaction time) of the Code of Administrative Offences and Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving under the influence).
It should be noted that refusal by a person driving a vehicle to undergo a test for alcohol, drug or other intoxication or for the use of drugs that reduce attention and reaction time in accordance with the established procedure entails administrative liability.
Drivers, never drive if you are under the influence of alcohol. We also appeal to passengers – never get into a car if you suspect that it is driven by a drunk driver!
