In addition, during the specified period there were 2 traffic accidents involving drunk drivers.
From February 24 to today, March 21, officers of the response teams of the patrol police of the territorial divisions of the Lviv region and patrol police found 201 drivers who were driving while intoxicated. Violators were charged under Article 130 (Driving vehicles or vessels of persons who are in a state of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication or under the influence of drugs that reduce their attention and speed of reaction) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Police once again urge drivers not to drive while intoxicated and remind that such an offense is punishable by a fine of 17 thousand to 51 thousand hryvnias with deprivation of the right to drive and confiscation of the vehicle.
