An investigation is underway in Zakarpattia regarding an incident of a border breach by a military officer.
According to reports by the Zakarpattia Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Defense Sphere of the Western Region, an infraction occurred on the evening of October 30 at the “Velyka Palad” checkpoint. The driver of a “Toyota”, moving at high speed, smashed through the barrier and unlawfully crossed the border from Ukraine into Hungary.
The driver, who also attempted to hit a border service inspector, caused him bodily harm, although the attempt was unsuccessful.
