Serviceman from Lviv Region Organised Illegal Deferments

In the Lviv Region, a serviceman has been uncovered who organised a scheme for the illegal issuing of mobilisation deferments. According to the investigation, a 32-year-old staff sergeant of the special-purpose law enforcement agencies in the Lviv Region assisted conscripts in avoiding the draft in exchange for a monetary reward.

An acquaintance approached the sergeant with a request to help a man who was registered at one of the Lviv RTC and SPC and had been declared wanted. The serviceman noted that he had the necessary connections among military officials in a neighbouring region and could arrange a deferment based on fictitious medical documents.

The officer set his fee at 16,000 US dollars. Thus, his actions, which could be classified as a crime, were documented.
