On May 10, at 7:38 p.m., the Rescue Service “101” received a report that on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of There was a collision between two cars: “Volkswagen Touran” and a “Renault Magnum” truck with a “Schmitz” trailer in Nadytichi, Stryi district.
Rescuers from the 8th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Stryi, as well as rescuers from the 4th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Lviv and the emergency and rescue unit of the special purpose emergency and rescue unit and operative groups of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were sent to the scene of the incident. Lviv region.
As a result of the traffic accident, 3 people died, the driver of the Volkswagen Touran car and two children, born in 2018 and 2009, and a passenger born in 2007 was injured, who was hospitalized in the Lviv City Children’s Clinical Hospital with injuries of varying degrees of severity. The driver of the “Renault Magnum” truck was also injured.
The fire-rescue departments of the 8th and 4th state fire-rescue units performed work on disconnecting the battery, and with the help of hydraulic shears, a crimper and a jack, the rescuers unblocked the victim from the Renault Magnum truck.
The branch of the 8th state fire-rescue unit carried out work on unblocking the bodies of 2 dead persons from the Volkswagen Touran car.
With the help of SARM-B and Bumar mobile crane, work was carried out on lifting the trailer and the tractor.
29 personnel and 6 units of special equipment were involved in liquidation of the consequences of the traffic accident.
