The traffic accident happened on January 7 at around 2:30 p.m. on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Didyliv, Lviv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, a Toyota car driven by a 29-year-old resident of Busk and a Mercedes Sprinter minibus driven by a 29-year-old resident of Rivne Region collided. As a result of the collision, eight people sought medical help (in particular, two vehicle drivers): residents of Lviv Oblast, Rivne Oblast and Vinnytsia aged from 19 to 60.
According to the fact, the investigators of the department of investigation of crimes in the field of transport opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 286 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years or without it.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
