The traffic accident occurred on December 27, around 6:30 p.m., on the Lviv-Sambir-Uzhgorod highway between the villages of Bachyna and Torchynovychy of the Sambir district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Opel Vectra, a 23-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, lost control and drove into a ditch, where the car overturned.
As a result of the accident, three passengers of the passenger car: a five-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl and a 35-year-old woman – all residents of Sambir district – were injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Sambir district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
