An ambulance passenger died as a result of a road accident in the village of Duliby, Stryi district

The traffic accident occurred on January 9, around 5:00 p.m., on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Duliby, Stryi district.

As previously established by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Fiat Scudo ambulance driven by a 60-year-old Lviv resident, a BAZ bus driven by a 37-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Stryi district, and a Volvo truck driven by 48-year-old resident of Lutsk.

The passenger of the ambulance, an 80-year-old patient, a resident of the city of Skole, died at the scene of the injuries sustained as a result of the road accident. In addition, a 47-year-old man from Lviv, a paramedic, was injured and hospitalized.

According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.

Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
