E-scooter Incident in Lviv: Pedestrian Hospitalized
An incident involving an electric scooter occurred on Chornovola Avenue in Lviv, resulting in a pedestrian being injured.

The traffic incident took place on March 2, at around 19:35, on Chornovola Avenue in Lviv. According to preliminary findings by law enforcement, the e-scooter was driven by an 18-year-old local resident who hit a 58-year-old pedestrian, also from Lviv. As a result of the accident, the man sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
Legal Consequences
Investigators from Police Department No. 1 of Lviv District Police Department No. 1 have opened a criminal case under Article 291 (Violation of existing traffic rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – a fine ranging from two thousand to five thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or corrective labor for up to two years, or restriction of freedom for up to five years, or imprisonment for up to five years.
